How do I love the Villa Azul Mar? Let me count the ways:
1. The current guests in unit 2--very considerate, 2. The coffeemaker--new, 3. The stove--always works, and the kitchen in general. I can see the bay while I cook, 4. The view--tonight a cruise ship departed with all lights on; often, from our bed, we see them in the early morning sneaking into the harbor, 5. The bed--new headboard, very elegant, and as many blankets as we need to deal with the funny weather, 6. The new toilet--luxurious choice, 7. The maids--Lola, Angie, and once, Frances--always helpful and polite, 8. The crew of men who come to fix, un-fix, and re-fix things, 9 The pool--best in Puerto Vallarta, maybe not in size but in location and temperature, 10 The sound of the surf--it never stops, 11. The iguana, currently "on vacation", 12. The whales--constantly performing for us in the bay, 13. The beautiful bay--underused, but always there for the viewing, 14 The view--unparalleled in our opinion, in all of Valla 15. The architecture that Giddings had the talent to create in the Villa Azul and Ocho Cascadas, 16. The opportunities you have provided for us and our family to enjoy your hospitality.
PS Several nights ago, there were fireworks, right below us, on the beach. Spectacular! How did you arrange that?
We stayed in a 2 bdr Condo #7, 7 nights from the 2th of December till January 4th. It is situated perfectly on the beach in the Romantic district. Walking distance to many great beach front restaurants and bars (try La Palapa for fine dining, or further out (taxi) Teatro Limon)). Also close by is a pharmacy, and several mini markets. Our group consisted of me and my boyfriend, and my (30ish) son and his girlfriend. Basically 2 couples.
The accommodations are superb. Our unit had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Perfect for 2 couple's or a family, and each room has a big closet, flat screen TV, and it's own deck. The place is very spacious, amazingly so. There is also a "large room on the other side with a kitchen, living area w/couch and tables, full formal dining table and deck with dining table also. It is open on the end and has a view of the ocean. You can hear it too. Nothing like cooking there and having the wonderful view and sound of the ocean. It is open and I wondered if that would bother us but it did not, it was actually fantastic.
The room was clean and there was a 5 gallon container of water (agua purificado). The maids came daily, new linens.
The fridge was large and the kitchen was stocked with pans, plates, utensils, glasses, and cooking supplies. It also had a blender. We also got some paper towels and plastic wrap, etc. We gave him 50. PVR is the best place in Mexico to celebrate New Years with Fireworks, concerts, all sorts of sparklers. And they try to cater to families and singles. And if you are up for it you can dance all night. The blue chair resort is on the beach close by and everyone there was nice, pleasant, and depending on your preferences, some nice eye candy. :) We spent one day on the beach using their beach bar service. Nothing like a margarita on the beach. The rest of the time we made Margaritas in the room and brought them down to the beach.

Muchas gracias to you and Rosy for shifting us from #3204 to #1218 (with view of marina) in Puesta del Sol and extending our stay through March 5.
Rosy & Isabel(maid) took good care of us during our stay.
I have given your name to relatives in Alaska and to friends in Arizona regarding future rentals. We will probably see you next February.
Adios
